Tigo music bash thrills Dar fans
The Tigo’s Kiboko Yao concert which extended to 12-hour sensation 
music festival is dubbed to be one of the biggest in history, bringing 
together over 40,000 fans.
Among the top Tanzanian artists  who performed include  Naseeb 
Abdul or popularly known as ‘Diamond’, Ali Kiba, Weusi, Msondo, Ben Pol,
 Professor Jay, Shilole, Linah, Khadija Kopa, Christian Bella, and AY, 
among others.
Following the launch of Tigo music, now through pre-paid data music
 bundles, Tigo customers can access and enjoy more than 36 million 
tracks by Tanzanian and international artists on their phones, tablets, 
and computers. 
Additionally, Tigo Music will continue to add local and regional 
content through a new venture with Africa Music Rights, a digital music 
company that funds, acquires and manages music rights across the African
 continent.

such access to unlimited music’, said Tigo Tanzania interim general 
manager Cecile Tiano.

culture as it is enjoyed at every social event and in private moments.

people to use smart phones in this part of the world’, Tigo Tanzania

support of the leading Tanzanian music artists some of whom are 
performing here today’, she said.
The introduction of Tigo Music in Tanzania follows the success of 
its launch in six Latin American Tigo markets since 2012 and in Tigo 
Ghana last October. In these markets Tigo Music has become an integral 
part of people’s daily digital lives, while also hosting live music 
events and exclusive artist studio recordings.
As a brand has grown in Colombia to become the country's leading 
music streaming service, with 600,000 users listening on average to over
 400 songs and 40 hours of music every month.
